I will abort this if it still not finished by the time I finish this message. Now I’m trying on an old save where the family trees aren’t as big and interwoven yet, only about two generations deep, but again all I get is “Working.” for minutes with a loud CPU and no success. I’ve then tested on a newer save with a lot of interwoven families (so a typical save for most people I’d say), and here even the famfixrel active resulted in endless processing and I eventually aborted after 10 or so minutes.
First I created a new save with one Sim, I’ve got an immediate success message so in general the mod is not blocked by anything, although in this instance. So I’ve been doing some testing now on your new version. Because surely this mod will be useful for so many players! To activate extended family recognition, you need to enter 'famfix' as a cheat. Now your Sims' extended family members throughout the whole family tree can be recognized! (Well, up to a certain depth level, there had to be a limit.)Īll relatives will get a "Family" relationship bit that can be seen in the relationship panel.
